Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) Surgery
Prior to the start of the HPB Surgery program at Health Sciences North, patients with pancreatic, liver and complex gallbladder diseases were forced to travel to Southern Ontario for specialized care. These trips are often costly and inconvenient for many patients.
Since the recruitment of Dr. Shum and Dr. Asai, patients with liver, pancreatic and bile duct diseases can now be treated in Sudbury.
If you are a physician with a patient that requires an opinion or care from an HPB surgeon, please fax your referral to either Dr. Shum or Dr. Asai at 705.222.0070.
